1) Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (together, the “Agreement”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. If you enter into a separate signed service agreement with us (e.g., client services agreement), that agreement governs to the extent of any conflict.

2) Who We Are / Services

Objective Recruiting is a BC-based recruiting firm. The Site provides general information, job listings, forms, and contact features (the “Online Services”). Nothing on the Site is a promise or guarantee of employment, engagement, or outcome.

3) Eligibility & Your Responsibilities

You must be the age of majority in your province/territory (18 or 19, as applicable) to use the Site. You agree to:

  • provide accurate, current information;
  • use the Site only for lawful, bona fide purposes; and
  • comply with all applicable laws (including BC Human Rights Code and employment-related laws).

 

If you create credentials for any portal or ATS we operate, keep your login confidential and notify us of any suspected breach.

4) Prohibited Uses

You will not (and will not permit anyone to):

  • access or use the Site in a way that violates law, privacy, or intellectual-property rights;
  • post or transmit unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, defamatory, or harmful content;
  • scrape, spider, mine, or harvest data from the Site (manual or automated) without our prior written consent;
  • test, scan, or probe system or network vulnerabilities or attempt to circumvent security;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the Site’s functionality;
  • misrepresent your identity, affiliation, eligibility to work, or authorizations.

 

We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe these Terms are breached.

5) Candidate & Client Submissions

5.1 Candidate Materials

If you submit a CV/résumé, profile, or other materials (“Candidate Materials”), you:

  • warrant you have the right to provide them, they are accurate to the best of your knowledge, and they do not infringe rights of others;
  • authorize us to review, evaluate, and (with your application/consent) present your candidacy to specific clients and to obtain references/background information you authorize; and
  • grant us a limited licence to use, reproduce, modify (formatting only), transmit, and disclose Candidate Materials solely for recruiting purposes.

5.2 Client Content

Clients cannot post jobs or other content on the Site. If you are a client, you may use our contact forms to request services or a consultation. Any information you provide through those forms will be used solely to evaluate and respond to your enquiry and to deliver services if engaged.

5.3 No Confidentiality Guarantee

Unless we have a signed NDA or services agreement that says otherwise, unsolicited ideas or suggestions you send via the Site are not confidential, and we may use them without obligation.

6) No Professional Advice; No Guarantees

Content on the Site is for general information only. We do not provide legal, financial, immigration, or HR compliance advice through the Site. You should obtain professional advice before relying on Site content. We do not guarantee that a candidate will be hired or that a role will be filled.

7) Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Site, you acknowledge that we will collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information as described there, including cross-border processing by service providers (e.g., Canada/United States).

8) Intellectual Property

The Site and its content (text, graphics, logos, design, and arrangements) are owned by or licensed to Objective Recruiting and are protected by Canadian and international IP laws. You may view the Site for personal/business evaluation. No other rights are granted. You may not reproduce, adapt, or distribute Site content without our prior written consent, except as permitted by law.
If you believe content infringes your rights, contact admin@objectiverecruiting.ca with details (work claimed, location on the Site, your contact information, and your statement of ownership/infringement made in good faith).

9) Third-Party Services & Links

The Site may link to third-party websites or integrate third-party tools (e.g., analytics, forms, ATS). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, tools, terms, or policies. Your use of them is at your own risk.

10) Availability, Changes, and Maintenance

The Site may be updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change features, content, or availability at our discretion.

11) Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site is accurate, complete, current, secure, or free of harmful components.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Indirect damages excluded. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, or loss of data, even if advised of the possibility.
  • Cap. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Site shall not exceed CAD $100.
  • Essential basis. These limits form an essential basis of the bargain between you and us regarding your use of the Site.


Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions/limits; in such cases, the exclusions/limits apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13) Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless Objective Recruiting, its directors, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your submissions or content; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of law or third-party rights.

14) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the latest version. Changes take effect when posted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

15) Governing Law; Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflicts-of-laws rules. The courts of British Columbia (Vancouver Registry) shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms.

16) Suspension/Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to the Site, us, or others. Sections intended to survive (including §§6–13, 15–18) will survive termination.

17) Electronic Communications & Notices

When you contact us via the Site or by email, you consent to receive communications from us. We may provide notices by posting on the Site or by emailing you at the address you provided.

18) Miscellaneous

  • Severability. If any provision is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver. Failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver of future enforcement.
  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer the Agreement without our prior written consent. We may assign to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement for Site use and supersede prior or contemporaneous understandings regarding the Site.
